From the 210 to the 40 Acres

Early Beginnings

Enrique's journey began on San Antonio's Far West Side, where he attended Ed Cody Elementary for kindergarten. His family later moved to the Northeast Side, where his elementary education continued at Roan Forest and Cibolo Green.

During these years, Enrique was an active young athlete, playing Pop Warner football and basketball in various local leagues. At Tejeda Middle School, he continued to play football and learned how to play the viola.

High School

Enrique graduated from Lady Bird Johnson High School in 2018 with a strong academic record, including a top 2% class rank (15 out of 752 students) and 13 completed AP courses.

He served as the Vice President of the Science National Honor Society and was an active member of the National Honor Society.

While Enrique was fortunate to attend a great high school in San Antonio, he had a difficult home life where frequent utility shutoffs were a common occurrence. Support from his maternal grandparents, solid relationships with friends, and athletics kept him on-track.

Double Longhorn

Enrique attended the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin, earning a BBA in Accounting in 2021 and a Master in Professional Accounting in 2022. He earned University Honors twice and was a recipient of the Accounting Centennial Endowed Presidential Scholarship.

While in college, he served as President of the Longhorn Wrestling Team from his sophomore to senior year and as the Vice President during his freshman year.

He earned internship offers from the following companies: Goldman Sachs, Holt CAT, Noroc Naturals, GNF Marketing, and Under Armour. He was also a part of an H-E-B capstone internship for one of his college courses.

Following his graduation, he moved to Atlanta, Georgia and began his career as a Finance Program Manager at Google.
